Ricardo van Landschoot, CEO of UMAMI Cosmetics, invited the art photographer Vincent Lagrange for a unique collaboration. He wanted to bring a message about natural beauty and at the same time give something back to nature.

VINCENT LAGRANGE: 

“I wanted to pay a one-off tribute to my teacher and father, Marc Lagrange. Today, he would have been active as a fotographer for 30 years. So HERITAGE is a tribute: to nature and to him. It combines my father’s vision and technique with my personal vision of natural beauty.“

Heritage has multiple layers. It is a unique ode to natural beauty. It reminds us of our responsibility towards nature. And it tells the story of the artistic legacy of renowned nude photographer Marc Lagrange to his son Vincent Lagrange.
The artist was inspired by his passion for nature, the morning light and his late father’s muse, Dorith Mous. He brought his father’s team back together for this one-off occasion. A special moment that moved everyone involved. Moreover, he went to Het Zwin nature reserve in the middle of the night to create the perfect set-up. So the morning sun helped to shape this work of art.

VINCENT LAGRANGE:

“For me, this tribute is the highest form of respect. A tribute with a wink, completed with my own vision on animals and nature. During the photo shoot, it was as if my father was there. That indescribable feeling, the shades of light, the interplay in the sky and the cooperation with Dorith Mous really took me back to the old days.”

UMAMI Cosmetics did not only take the initiative for this collaboration. The brand also sponsored the production. Moreover, CEO Ricardo van Landschoot will donate the entire proceeds of the auction to an ecological project of Het Zwin. Thus completing the cycle, as Heritage gives something back to nature and future generations.
